With the firm since its inception, Sandy brings almost a decade of experience as a Certified Public Accountant, specializing in tax planning, new business consulting, and tax returns for individuals, non- and for-profit businesses, trusts and estates.
When she and Carla Pollock started Pollock Tax & Accounting in 2010, Sandy relished the opportunity to build a boutique, woman-owned CPA firm that treats each client like family. She loves learning about her clients and brainstorming ideas to personalize her tax advice based on impacts to their lives beyond the almighty dollar.
Raised in the Texas heat, Sandy found the snowy mountains of Colorado a better fit for the outdoor activities she loves. Her move to the Centennial State also brought her to Colorado State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree with double majors in equine science and fine art photography.
One accounting class is all it took before Sandy found herself working at a local CPA firm, discovering her talents in accounting. She went on to earn her Masters of Accountancy with a certificate in taxation from CSU as the adventure of opening Pollock Tax & Accounting began.
In addition to being a CPA and an Enrolled Agent, Sandy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA).
When her husband and two boys are able to convince her to step away from her desk, Sandy finds additional happiness hiking and skiing in the mountains, spending time with her horses, and gardening in her own backyard.
